RIVER OF LIFE-HOW DEEP WILL YOU GO?

My dear followers, water in scripture is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. He is very important in the scripture and His work is of utmost importance on earth. He is the One that brings revival, times of refreshing for our souls. This part of Ezekiel's vision is believed to have a spiritual meaning since the water is seen coming from God's temple and not from pipes that usually bring natural water for human's use. And the passage reads thus:

"Then he brought me back to the door of the temple, and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from below the south end of the threshold of the temple, south of the altar. Then he brought me out by way of the north gate and led me around on the outside to the outer gate that faces toward the east; and behold, the water was trickling out on the south side. Going on eastward with a measuring line in his hand, the man measured a thousand cubits, and then led me through the water, and it was ankle-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and led me through the water, and it was knee-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and led me through the water, and it was waist-deep. Again he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not pass through, for the water had risen. It was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be passed through. And he said to me, “Son of man, have you seen this? SCRIPTURE: Ezekiel 47:1-6 (ESV)

Water Flowing from The Temple

INTERPRETATION:

My dear followers, most Bible scholars interpret the water in this passage of scripture as the Holy Spirit who was poured out on Christ's disciples on the day of Pentecost and endowed them with power from on high to preach and teach the gospel throughout the world with signs, wonders, and miracles starting in Jerusalem (Luke 24:47). The Prophet Zechariah, explains this as "...living waters that shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter" (14:8). The Apostle John also made reference to this water in his vision as "...the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb" (Rev. 22:1). Today, many believe this water signifies God's Word been taught to His people and proclaimed near and far to other regions of the world through the wonderful working power of the Holy Spirit. 

IT IS FOR EVERYONE 

My followers, our Daddy Jesus is the temple from whose "pierced side" these living waters gush out. He is the giver of the “RIVER OF LIFE,” that is, the living water, the well that shall never run dry. Jesus said, "but whosoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life"(John 4:14). He further stated in John 7:38, "Whosoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." This water He made reference to as the Holy Spirit of God (John 7:39). 

We give God Almighty all the glory, hallelujahs, and honour, for considering us in our sinfulness to bring us revival; times of spiritual refreshing to ensure that we are saved for eternity.

 QUESTION 

For God's soon coming and mighty outpouring, how deep do you desire to go in Him, ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep, or do you desire to swim? 

 A PRAYER FOR YOU

Almighty Father, thank you for all the blessings of this new day. Create in me a clean heart to ensure worship of you in spirit and in truth. LORD, I anticipate receiving all the blessings of the coming revival that you have for me, and pray my family, friends, neighbours, as well as all others in my small town, will be revived by your mighty power. Most Holy Father, let not one stone be left unturned in my village, the neighboring communities and nation. Raise us up Great God as a people where righteousness fills our lives and homes by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Make us a holy priesthood Divine Majesty, to be remembered by others as a righteous nation! Make us one to proclaim your name all over this land. Thank you Father and these mercies we humbly ask in Jesus' holy name.  Amen!
