Who Is Jesus?

There are so many prominent people in our society some of which we only know by their name. Simply knowing the name of someone doesn’t necessarily mean that you know all the details about him/her and what he/she is really like. 

Of all these famous people, there is one in particular that stands out the most. His name is Jesus, the one who died on the cross for your sins and mine. He is our Dad and so I refer to Him as Daddy Jesus. Even though He lived on earth for 33 ½ years about 2000 years ago, many individuals do not know Daddy Jesus as a person. Some people call Him prophet while others say He is a good man. But who do you say He is? It is very pivotal for all of us to know the truth about Jesus Christ of Nazareth, because knowing the reality as to who He is personally and believing in Him guarantees us eternal life. Getting to know Daddy Jesus will help us to model righteousness in the way we live and treat our neighbours. Let us now glean some of the evidences from scripture pointing to who He is.

 Facts About Jesus

Many years before Jesus was born, God’s prophets declared Him as the promised Messiah, which means “the Christ” (John 1:41, Matthew 16:16). The seers spoke of many important signs and wonders that the people should look for in order to identify Jesus as the Messiah and believe. The fulfillment of all these prophecies helps us to know that Jesus is indeed the promised One. He was the special person that Father God would fulfill all of His righteous plans for mankind through. These are some of the prophecies, which pointed to Jesus’ coming into the world as the Messiah. They were written in the Old Testament, the part of the Bible that was written before Christ’s birth. The New Testament is a confirmation of these prophecies. It was was written after Jesus died, rose from the dead and went back to heaven.
