He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds
(Psalms 147:3)
What is in this verse that the Psalmist wants to communicate to us today? Well, undeniably, there are numerous reasons why people become heart broken at times. Even children can feel this way too. Having a broken heart may occur as a result of a loss of a dear family member or close friend, unforgiveness, losing your home or job, having a bad day at work, having a fight or a quarrel with someone, and so on.
Rest assured that as our Potter, it is Daddy Jesus who mends our hearts perfectly and give us peace in the midst of life’s stormy weather conditions that often impact our lives profoundly. It is Daddy Jesus who dresses our wounds with his miraculous healing bandages that normally brings restoration to our situations. Indeed, He is the ‘Winner Man’ and our way maker.
And so, no matter how skilled medical doctors are, none can do such work wrought by Jesus in mending one’s broken heart. That’s why it is good to have a personal relationship with Him for He alone can set us free from our burdens of sins, our hurts and sufferings.
God bless you!
